Description
  • Bring partner brands to life across digital, social and events
  • Join a league still climbing, with record crowds
  • Grow your career in sports partnerships and media

You’re at your best when a partner’s idea turns into something fans actually notice.

This role is about making our partnerships come alive for fans. You’ll shape partner campaigns from the first idea through to media planning, content and launch.

It’s an established role in a business that keeps growing. You’ll learn across partnerships, media and live events, and build experience that sets you up for a long career in sport.

About Us

The NBL Group is the fast-moving, growth-focused, entrepreneurial sports and entertainment business behind Australia’s two premier basketball competitions: the National Basketball League (NBL) and the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL).

We sit at the centre of one of Australia’s fastest-growing sports. Beyond the two elite leagues, we play a key role in the NBL1 competition and an expanding portfolio of major events and aligned products. We move at pace, think big, and operate as a high-performance, commercially driven, growth-focused organisation, with reach across broadcast, digital, live experiences and international markets, and the ambition to match it.

We are also a business that is deliberately evolving. We challenge how things have been done, invest in new ways of working, and back people who bring fresh thinking to big problems. Change and innovation here isn’t a disruption; it’s the operating model.

The Role

You’ll own how our partner brands show up across our content, media and marketing channels.

  • Create and run partner campaigns with our marketing team, start to finish
  • Build media plans that put partners in front of the right fans
  • Shape branded content, integrations and competitions with NBL Media
  • Coordinate partner activations and player appearances at live events
  • Set marketing and media KPIs with each partner and their account manager
  • Track campaign results and report clear value back to partners
  • Keep marketing, media, events and agencies working as one on deliverables
Who We’re Looking For

You’re organised, calm when deadlines stack up, and you care about getting the detail right for the people you work with.

  • Experience in partnerships, sponsorship, marketing or media
  • Hands on with digital content, from brief to published
  • Media planning across digital, social and broadcast
  • Strong relationships with partners, agencies and colleagues
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, CRM and social analytics

Agency experience or a love of basketball is a bonus, not a must.

And the non-negotiables: you take ownership of the results you deliver, you follow through on what you promise, and you never forget the fan in the stands or watching at home.

Our Values and What You Need To Succeed With Us

These aren’t aspirational. They’re the minimum we expect from everyone here.

At NBL Group, we Think Big, we’re Accountable, we act with Integrity, we Show Respect, we’re Fans too, and we’re One Team.

To Succeed You Need To
  • Thrive in ambiguity and move fast, that’s where you do your best work
  • Champion change and bring ideas, not just execution
  • Exercise good judgment, move decisively and adjust as you learn
  • Have the stamina and hunger to keep pushing and delivering results
  • Show resilience, overcome challenges and move on quickly
  • Flex outside your remit when the business needs it
  • Make feedback a habit: give it, seek it and act on it
  • Take the ball, own the play, and communicate directly and honestly
  • Win as one team, we succeed when we work together, not as individuals
  • Care about growing basketball in Australia, New Zealand and around the world
What’s On Offer
  • A role inside one of Australia’s fastest growing sports
  • Partner campaigns across the NBL, WNBL and major events
  • Build skills across partnerships, media, content and events
  • Learn alongside leaders from Nike, the AFL and Tennis Australia
