Job summary

Adelaide University is seeking a Partnerships Development Coordinator, based at City West Campus, to join the Research Business Development and Alliances Team. This continuing, full-time role focuses on planning and delivering partnership and engagement services to expand health and medical research capability.

You will work with LHNs, SA Health and internal teams to foster collaboration, manage initiatives and provide advice on research grant administration.

• Salary Range: $103,917 – $116,002 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

Work that matters

Adelaide University has significant research and clinical activities across the Local Health Networks (LHNs), including Central (CALHN), Northern (NALHN) and Women’s & Children’s (WCHN).

We are looking for a Partnerships Development Coordinator who can bring their experience from a clinical or hospital setting to this varied role. This role will possess strong communication skills, amenable to supporting internal and external stakeholders across the University and within the wider SA health system.

The Partnerships Development Coordinator is part of the Research Business Development and Alliances Team (Under the Research and Innovation portfolio) and will plan, manage and monitor partnership and engagement services and initiatives. The intent is to expand health and medical research capability at the University and contribute to accelerated success with the LHNs and in turn, the broader South Australian health and medical ecosystem.

The team

This role will report to the Associate Director, Business Development (Health) and will work closely with Colleagues, Researchers, staff across the Research and Innovation Portfolio, Local Health Network Research Directors, SA Health as well as other external clients as required.

Experience

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:

• A degree (preferably in an appropriate health-related field) with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Excellent communication and rapport building skills to aid in the delivery of strategic goals and outcomes against key account objectives. Successful applicant will have a high level of self-motivation, initiative, creativity, sound judgement and experience in working autonomously under limited direction.
• Excellent organisation skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, plan actions and work well to tight (externally imposed) deadlines.
• Ability to manage and deliver complex, multifaceted projects that benefit industry and the community, particularly the Health & Medical industries.
• Ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
• Ability to provide high quality advice to staff on research grant administration issues, including pre and post award matters, contract terms and research related project budgets.
