Job summary

Greencross Wellington Road & Mount Barker is seeking a part-time Veterinary Nurse to join our two-clinic team in the Adelaide Hills, SA. The role covers Wellington Road and our Mount Barker clinic, with a minimum of 3 days per week (approximately 24+ hours) and a varied caseload across medicine, surgery, dentistry, and preventative care.

You will work with a supportive team, provide high-quality patient care, and have opportunities for professional development through our network of clinics.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• 2+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Confident across medical and surgical nursing duties.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
• RxWorks experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing duties and pre- and post-operative care.
• Support medical, surgical, pathology, and hospital patients.
• Assist with emergency and critical care when required.
• Monitor anaesthesia and assist patient recovery.
• Assist veterinarians during consultations and procedures.
• Maintain hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment.
• Handle client enquiries professionally in person, by email, and over the phone.
• Support reception and administrative duties when required.
• Work collaboratively across both clinic locations to deliver patient care.
