Job summary

Join Meli's Youth Justice Community Support Service as a part-time Shift Worker to help young people build independence and life skills within the youth justice context. You will engage meaningfully, provide practical support and empower education and employment participation.

This fixed-term, 0.6 FTE role runs until 30 June 2027 with a pro-rata salary of $105,835 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. A trauma-informed, child-safe focus and strong collaboration with services are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience in case management or brief intervention with vulnerable youth and families.
• Understanding trauma-informed approaches, risk assessments and client planning.
• Knowledge of Victorian Child Safe Standards and child-safe culture.
• Experience with high-risk youth; Motivational Interviewing is desirable.
