Job summary

Marist180 is seeking passionate Youth Workers to join the ITM and TCH programs in South Western Sydney on a part-time basis. You will provide therapeutic, trauma-informed support to children and young people aged 0–18, helping with wellbeing, education, daily living skills and community participation while building trusted relationships as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role operates on a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and youths who have trauma or adversity.
• Understanding trauma-informed and therapeutic care principles.
• Ability to build and maintain therapeutic relationships.
• Experience with complex behaviours in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Sound written communication and record-keeping.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Cultural awareness and ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic, trauma-informed support to children aged 0–18.
• Support wellbeing, daily living skills, education and community participation.
• Contribute to individual care plans and outcomes with a multidisciplinary team.
• Work across ITM and TCH programmes as required.
• Follow rotating roster including weekends, sleepovers, and overnight shifts.
