Job summary
Endeavour Foundation operates SIL homes on the Sunshine Coast, seeking a Disability Support Worker to help residents live as independently as possible. You will assist with daily living activities, personal care and skill-building in a caring, professional environment.
The role requires flexibility for days, afternoons and multiple sleepovers, with a focus on safety, respect and building trust. A Certificate III in Disability Support is advantageous, and compliance checks are required for
Qualifications
- Calm, compassionate and professional Disability Support Worker
- Open availability including sleepover shifts
- Willing to obtain Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid/ CPR
Responsibilities
- Help people achieve NDIs goals by developing daily living skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
- Assist with personal care as required to meet individual needs.
- Support meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connections through outings.
- Provide support during daily activities like walks, movies, appointments.
- Help maintain connections with family, friends and services.
