Job summary
Endeavour Foundation in Palmwoods, Sunshine Coast, is seeking Disability Support Workers for part-time roles across our SIL homes. Sleepover shifts and a mix of days and afternoons are available, with open availability required.
You will help people with disabilities live as independently as possible and participate in daily living activities. Ideal candidates are calm, compassionate and professional, with experience supporting complex needs.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
- Ability to work sleepovers and varied shifts across days and weekends.
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Hold or be willing to obtain Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Help people achieve NDIS goals by developing daily living skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
- Assist with personal care to meet individual needs.
- Support meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community outings.
- Provide support during daily activities such as walks, trips to the cinema or appointments.
- Help clients maintain connections with family, friends and services.
