Job summary

Endeavour Foundation on the Gold Coast is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our SIL homes across casual and permanent part-time shifts. You will help people achieve daily living goals, provide personal care where needed, support meal planning, activities and community connections.

We value calm, respectful, person-centred support, with openness to a variety of shifts including sleepovers.

Qualifications

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is highly regarded.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, early mornings, active overnight shifts and sleepovers.
• Good computer skills, including experience with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work).
• Open Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing daily living skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assisting with personal care and hygiene needs where required.
• Supporting meal planning, cooking, light household cleaning and community participation.
• Assisting with appointments, recreational activities and social outings.
• Helping the people we support maintain connections with family, friends and community services.
• Promoting independence, choice and active participation in everyday life.
