Ravensthorpe District High School, part of the Department of Education, is seeking a permanent part-time Laboratory Technician (0.2 FTE) to commence Term 1, 2027. The role focuses on preparing and maintaining safe laboratory spaces, organizing chemicals and equipment, and supporting science teaching staff in delivering hands-on experiments.

You will work with teachers to determine equipment needs, assist with stock management, and help design teaching aids while ensuring compliance with safety

Responsabilités

• Assist to organise preparation areas and classroom laboratories to ensure a safe learning environment
• Undertake general housekeeping of chemicals, equipment and repairs/maintenance
• Order supplies/equipment and assist with stock management
• Liaise with science teachers to determine product needs and future purchase requirements
• Prepare chemicals, equipment and materials, design and construct teaching aids
• Care for living organisms for study in compliance with laboratory practices and regulations
