Ravensthorpe District High School is seeking a part-time Laboratory Technician (0.2 FTE) to support the Science Learning Area. The role involves organizing preparation spaces and laboratories, maintaining chemicals and equipment, and assisting with stock management and teaching aid creation.

The successful candidate will work with science teachers to identify product needs and ensure compliance with safety and legislative requirements in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience organizing preparation areas and classroom laboratories for safe learning.
• Ability to liaise with science teachers to determine product needs and stock requirements.
• Familiarity with lab equipment maintenance and basic repairs (advantage: LabLogger)

Responsabilités

• Organise preparation areas and classroom laboratories to ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff.
• Undertake housekeeping of chemicals, equipment and maintenance, and assist with stock management.
• Liaise with science teachers to determine product needs and future purchase requirements of science equipment.
• Prepare chemicals, equipment and materials; design and construct teaching aids and care for living organisms in line with lab safety rules.
