Job summary

Tasmanian Government in the South region invites applications for a Laboratory Technician at Bothwell District High School. You will provide technical support to the science unit and undertake related administrative duties in a regional education setting.

This fixed-term, part-time role begins 1 February 2027 for 12 months, at 12.70 hours per fortnight. Applicants must hold RWVP and a Laboratory Techniques qualification (Certificate III/IV or higher) with post-secondary science/technology

Qualifications

• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment.
• Certificate III or IV in Laboratory Techniques; or a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, associate degree, bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in a discipline relevant to the duties of the position; or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
• Post secondary studies in the fields of science and/or technology.
