Job summary

Golden Beach State School on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a reliable Schools Officer, Grounds for two days per week until the end of 2026. You will contribute to the efficient operation and environment by providing high‑level grounds care and support to the Principal or delegate.

You will maintain ovals, gardens and pools, operate grounds equipment, and follow WHS guidelines. The role offers practical outdoor work with supervision for non‑routine tasks and a positive community impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in outdoor grounds maintenance preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions with some independence.
• Commitment to WHS and safe handling of chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain school ovals, lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs.
• Operate, maintain and service grounds equipment.
• Follow WHS requirements for safe work and chemical handling.
• Manage rubbish, repairs, irrigation and general grounds maintenance.
• Maintain swimming pools and water quality records.
• Order supplies and improve school grounds.
• Prepare and maintain outdoor sporting facilities.
• Assist with junior agricultural activities when required.
