Job summary

South Gippsland Shire Council is seeking a School Crossing Supervisor to help provide a safe road environment for children during peak times. The role is ongoing part-time with a fixed morning and afternoon shift, primarily at Mirboo North School Crossing, but may include other locations across the Shire.

Applicants should be medically fit, have their own transport, and be able to obtain Working with Children and Police checks. Join our friendly team and contribute to community safety.

Qualifications

• Be medically fit.
• Have your own transport.
• Be of good character.
• Relate well to children.
• Be able to talk to children's parents and teachers.
• Be available to work for 1.5 hours per day, generally between 8.00am and 9.00am, and 3.00pm to 4.00pm on weekdays during school terms.
• Able to obtain a Working with Children Check.
• Able to obtain a satisfactory Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe road environment for children during peak times.
• You may be asked to work at Mirboo North School Crossing or other locations across the Shire.
• Support morning and afternoon crossings during school terms.
