Job summary

CatholicCare Sydney is seeking a part-time School Counsellor in Mosman to support student wellbeing within a Catholic school network. You will work in a small team with ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development from a dedicated Manager.

The role requires registration with AHPRA or PACFA/AASW, at least two years of post-qualifying counselling experience with youth, and the ability to use CMIS for reporting and records. A driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

• Registration with Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) or membership with AASW/PACFA.
• Minimum two years’ post-qualifying counselling experience with children/adolescents and at-risk students.
• School counselling experience is an advantage.
• Ability to use CMIS for case notes, reporting and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling to students and referrals to school staff.
• Deliver workshops/education sessions for students, parents and staff.
• Liaise with external agencies to coordinate support services.
