Job summary

The University of Sydney invites applications for a Part-time Research Coordinator to support a school-based clinical trial within a national health research program. The role offers flexible daily hours, hybrid work options, and a pro-rata base salary with superannuation, aligned to a 0.8 FTE arrangement.

Based in Sydney, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate ethics, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and trial logistics across schools and communities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications, with qualifications in health or a related discipline highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience working within a research or clinical trial environment.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and solve complex problems.
• Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including schools, families, and healthcare providers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality documentation.
• Experience using research databases, with REDCap experience highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Project manage the set-up of the clinical trial in collaboration with the broader research team and national multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage ethics submissions and governance approvals across multiple institutions.
• Coordinate the development of study documentation and parent- and child-facing materials.
• Coordinate research activities, scheduling and bookings with participating schools and community partners.
• Ensure compliance with study protocols, ethical and regulatory requirements, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Support research operations, including research contracts, service agreements, and trial logistics.
• Maintain accurate study records and databases to support trial delivery and reporting.
• Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding and training activities as required.
• Liaise with research partners, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders to support trial delivery.
