Job summary

The University of Sydney seeks a part-time Research Associate in Community Paediatrics within the Central Clinical School. You will support research operations for the Community Paediatrics Research Group, engaging with diverse families and health practitioners to advance child health research and care models.

The role focuses on qualitative/quantitative methods, ethics submissions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Masters degree, enrolled in a PhD or PhD in health, medicine, allied health, psychology or related areas
• Experience with culturally and linguistically diverse families and Aboriginal communities
• Experience in project management and research protocols, ethics submissions
• Experience with electronic data capture systems such as REDCap and databases
• Knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
• Understanding of ethical conduct in human research and clinical guidelines
• Strong written communication to summarise analyses and results
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Good organisational skills and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Community Paediatrics Research Team to deliver a Hub-based program with partners
• Undertake qualitative and quantitative research methods, data collection, and contribute to analysis and reporting
• Communicate with research partners and collaborators related to tasks
• Organise and attend research meetings and prepare documentation
• Support development and maintenance of ethics applications and governance documents
• Lead grant and publication submissions in integrated child and family Hub-based work
