Job summary

Mind Australia in Wonthaggi is seeking a Psychosocial Disability Support Worker on permanent part-time (22.5 hours per week) with optional casual shifts. You will deliver personalised support to adults with psychosocial disability, helping them manage daily living, participate in group activities, and achieve recovery goals.

The role involves working with families, coordinating with service networks, and contributing to person-centred plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum tertiary qualifications (Certificate III or higher) in Mental Health, Peer Work, or related health field.
• Experience working with people with psychosocial disabilities and their families.
• Awareness and understanding of the NDIS is required.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC are required.
• Unrestricted Australian driver’s license and ability to use own vehicle for residents’ transport.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Support participants through recovery-focused, person-centred plans.
• Develop and run group work programs to build skills and wellbeing.
• Support families and carers with information and referrals.
• Build local supports and referral pathways to enable independent living.
• Undertake day-to-day service operations and housekeeping duties.
