Job summary

Mind Australia Limited invites applications for Psychosocial Disability Support Workers in the Haven Housing Service, Clearview, Adelaide. This permanent part-time position (22.5 hours per week) supports adults with severe psychosocial disability through one-to-one and group activities within a peer-led environment.

You will work collaboratively to enable recovery, independence and daily living skills, with pathways to community supports and ongoing program activities.

Qualifications

• Confidence managing distress and crisis situations.
• Experience assessing needs and planning recovery using evidence-based approaches.
• NDIS knowledge required; WWCC and first aid/CPR are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support participants to imagine and live a meaningful life through recovery-focused, staged support.
• Develop and lead group activities to build skills, wellbeing and capacity.
• Support families and carers with information, referrals and education.
• Build local supports and referral pathways to enable participants to live independently in the community.
• Contribute to daily service operations, including housekeeping tasks.
