Job summary

Woodville Alliance is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for a part-time role. The payroll week is Monday–Wednesday, with flexible days for the following week, servicing 130+ employees and ensuring end-to-end fortnightly payroll.

Successful candidates will have a Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or equivalent, strong SCHADS Award knowledge, and experience with Employment Hero or similar platforms, plus a collaborative mindset with Finance and HR.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Payroll Administration, Accounting or similar qualification is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the SCHADS Award and community services payroll requirements.
• Experience processing payroll in a complex award environment.
• Experience with salary packaging and not-for-profit benefits.
• Experience with Employment Hero or industry-specific platforms highly desirable.
• Understanding of STP, PAYG, superannuation and payroll compliance obligations.
• Ability to collaborate with Finance, HR, rostering teams and external providers.
• Confidence maintaining payroll records, systems data and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Process the end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 130+ employees.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Awards, Fair Work, NES and our Organisations policies.
• Apply complex provisions including shift penalties, sleepovers, broken shifts, travel time, allowances, and overtime.
• Assist with end of year reporting and audit requirements, including NDIS and grant-funded programs.
• Facilitate employee salary packaging with both the provider and in line with the ATO and not-for-profit regulations.
• Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Employment Hero.
