Job summary

The YMCA Brisbane is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for YMCA Edens Landing Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part-time basis. You’ll support the Coordinator with daily operations, lead programming, and guide a team to deliver safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

Responsibilities include running the service, guiding educators, ensuring compliance, and engaging with families and the community.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes.
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.
