Job summary

The Y NSW is hiring an OSHC Educator in Sydney, offering a permanent part-time position with before and after school care. You will support safe, engaging programs for primary school children, designing inclusive activities and mentoring junior educators within a supportive NSW network.

This role emphasizes flexible hours, professional development and opportunities to advance a career in childcare and education while prioritizing children's wellbeing and safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in childcare.
• Experience supervising and engaging with children.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Availability for Before/After School and Vacation Care.
• HLTAID012 emergency response with CPR.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Police Check (paid by the Y).

Responsibilities

• Provide fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities for primary school-aged children.
• Assist in designing a calendar of inclusive, exciting and engaging programs.
• Support and mentor junior educators using experience and expertise.
• Collaborate with OSHC Coordinators across NSW as part of a wider educator network.
• Access professional development pathways to build new skills and progress your career.
