Job summary

The Y Queensland is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for YMCA Shailer Park OSHC on a permanent part-time basis. You will support daily operations, lead programming, and guide a passionate team to deliver safe, engaging care for children.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Children’s Services or related field (or studying towards), with experience in programming and administration, and strong communication skills. Blue Card and First Aid/CPR are required or willing to obtain.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching (or studying towards).
• Experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Blue Card (Paid) or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to safe and inclusive environments.
• Familiarity with National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community
