Job summary

Specsavers Bentleigh is seeking a part-time Optical Assistant to join our busy Melbourne team. Friday and Saturday availability is essential as we serve local customers with high standards of eye care and friendly service.

In this role you’ll advise on frame selection, book appointments and fit spectacles, working in a supportive, fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will be energetic, customer-focused and eager to grow with Specsavers.

• Experience in fast-paced retail is desirable.

• Provide advice on frame selection and lens options.

Specsavers Bentleigh has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic part time team member to join our team as an Optical Assistant. To meet the needs of our customers Friday and Saturday availability is essential for this position.

We're looking for an ambitious, energetic and customer focused individual to join our growing team as we provide our local community with the highest levels of eye care. Day to day you'll be providing advice on frame selection, booking appointments andfitting spectacles. Skills and experience:

The successful candidate will have a rewarding career with Specsavers and will possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a fast paced retail industry
• Able to work in a large, growing team environment as well autonomously
• A self-starter with a sense of humour who enjoys variety and a busy environment
• Punctuality, reliability and flexibility to work retail hours
• Excellent verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail
• The ability to build genuine and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Optical dispensing experience is advantageous, but not essential
