Job summary

Identilab Pty Ltd, a NATA-accredited DNA testing laboratory in Brisbane, is seeking a reliable Part-time Office Assistant (20 hours/week, 9 am–1 pm, Monday to Friday) to support daily operations. Training will be provided; no science degree required.

Responsibilities include receiving samples, preparing kits, and maintaining a tidy office. You will work in a small team, handling confidential information with care while following established procedures and safety practices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, log and label samples and associated documentation accurately.
• Assemble, pack and dispatch DNA sample collection kits.
• Track sample movements and maintain storage records according to procedures.
• Dispose of retained samples and materials per retention schedules and lab procedures.
• Assist with general administration, office organisation and housekeeping.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all client and case information.
• Follow written procedures, quality requirements and workplace safety practices.
• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and quality of service.
