Job summary

Lismore City Council's Goonellabah Sports & Aquatic Centre (GSAC) and Switch 24/7 Gym is seeking a motivated Fitness/Gym Services Officer to join our team. This permanent part-time role is 35 hours per week and involves welcoming members, delivering great service, and helping run daily gym operations.

You will work with our Gym and Fitness Coordinator to promote programs, support campaigns, and maintain a safe, engaging fitness environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III and IV in Fitness or an equivalent degree is required.
• Current First Aid with CPR is mandatory.
• WWCC is required or willing to obtain.
• Group Fitness training certification is preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Group Fitness Instructor.
• Experience in developing campaigns and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and supporting members throughout their fitness journey.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive gym culture.
• Providing encouragement, guidance and motivation to members.
• Supporting the day-to-day operations of Switch 24/7 Gym.
• Assisting with fitness promotions, programs and marketing initiatives.
• Contributing to a safe, clean and engaging fitness environment.
