Job summary

Goonellabah Sports & Aquatic Centre (GSAC) and Switch 24/7 Gym are seeking a motivated Fitness/Gym Services Officer to join our team. This permanent part-time role (35 hours/week) supports members from entry through progress, along with gym operations and programming participation.

You will work with the Gym/Fitness Coordinator to deliver excellent customer service in a welcoming, inclusive environment while helping members achieve health and fitness goals.

Qualifications

• Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness OR equivalent Sport and Exercise Science degree.
• First Aid Certificate with CPR (current).
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) willingness to obtain.
• Specific Group Fitness training accreditation.
• At least 2 years' experience as a Group Fitness Instructor.
• Hands-on experience developing campaigns and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and supporting members throughout their fitness journey.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive gym culture.
• Providing encouragement, guidance and motivation to members.
• Supporting the day-to-day operations of Switch 24/7 Gym.
• Assisting with fitness promotions, programs and marketing initiatives.
• Contributing to a safe, clean and engaging fitness environment.
