Job summary

Lismore City Council's Goonellabah Sports & Aquatic Centre (GSAC) and Switch 24/7 Gym is seeking a motivated Fitness/Gym Services Officer to join our team. This permanent part-time role (35 hours/week) supports members from entry to progression, helping to keep the gym running smoothly and ensuring an inviting, inclusive environment.

You will work alongside the Gym and Fitness Coordinator, deliver excellent customer service, promote fitness initiatives, and contribute to a positive gym culture.

Qualifications

• Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness or degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
• Current First Aid with CPR.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Group Fitness training certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Group Fitness Instructor.
• Experience developing campaigns and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and supporting members throughout their fitness journey.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive gym culture.
• Providing encouragement and motivation to members.
• Supporting day-to-day operations of Switch 24/7 Gym.
• Assisting with fitness promotions, programs and marketing initiatives.
• Contributing to a safe, clean and engaging fitness environment.
