Job summary

Queen of Apostles Primary School in Riverton (WA) is seeking a reliable Groundsperson for an ongoing, part-time role beginning early 2027. You will care for and present the school grounds and outdoor facilities, including gardening, landscaping and routine upkeep.

The role requires proactive, independent work and collaboration with school leadership. The position is 0.62 FTE (24 hours/week) with hours arranged across four days.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills and experience in grounds, gardening, landscaping and/or general property maintenance.
• Ability to undertake minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Proactive approach to identify maintenance and safety issues and respond appropriately.
• Strong work ethic with pride in clean, safe and well-presented grounds and facilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing care, maintenance and presentation of the school grounds and outdoor facilities.
• General gardening and landscaping, lawn and garden maintenance.
• Minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Monitor grounds and facilities and manage waste.
