Job summary

Australia Post Group is hiring for a Freight Handler / Forklift Driver in a busy Sydney warehouse. The role involves safely operating a forklift, sorting products on the floor, and loading parcels for delivery, supporting the delivery drivers across our network.

The ideal candidate holds a LF Forklift Licence, is physically fit to lift items of various sizes, and can work 25 hours per week (3:00pm - 8:00pm), Monday to Friday. Benefits include Post Perks discounts and wellbeing resources.

Description & Requirements

About the opportunity

As our Freight Handler / Forklift Driver, you’ll be based in one of our facilities, working with colleagues across our processing and deliveries teams to keep the cogs of our business turning. Safely operating a forklift and also sorting product on the floor, you’ll support with loading parcels/pallets for our delivery and transport drivers to head out on the road and deliver for Australia like never before. If you enjoy variety, then this combination operations role is one for you.

About you

• Have full work rights (no restrictions)
• Hold a valid LF Forklift Licence.
• Be fit enough to lift/load and unload mail/parcel items of all different shapes and sizes frequently around our facilities and into trucks.
• Be safety-focused, willing to undergo a vehicle assessment and pre-employment checks (medical, drug/alcohol screening and national police checks).
• You’re a self-starter that enjoys working in a busy operations environment.
• You enjoy connecting with others in the community to support us to deliver on time, and like never before.
• Able to work part time hours (3:00pm - 8:00pm) - Monday to Friday (25 hours per week).
