Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a Freight Handler / Forklift Driver in NSW Sydney. You will operate a forklift, assist with sorting, loading parcels for delivery drivers, and support daily processing in a busy facility.

This role suits someone who is safety-focused, holds a LF Forklift Licence, and can work 3:00pm–8:00pm, Monday to Friday (25 hours per week). Applicants with full work rights will be prioritised.

About the opportunity

As our Freight Handler / Forklift Driver, you’ll be based in one of our facilities, working with colleagues across our processing and deliveries teams to keep the cogs of our business turning. Safely operating a forklift and also sorting product on the floor, you’ll support with loading parcels/pallets for our delivery and transport drivers to head out on the road and deliver for Australia like never before. If you enjoy variety, then this combination operations role is one for you.

About you

• Have full work rights (no restrictions)
• Hold a valid LF Forklift Licence.
• Be fit enough to lift/load and unload mail/parcel items of all different shapes and sizes frequently around our facilities and into trucks.
• Be safety-focused, willing to undergo a vehicle assessment and pre-employment checks (medical, drug/alcohol screening and national police checks).
• You’re a self-starter that enjoys working in a busy operations environment.
• You enjoy connecting with others in the community to support us to deliver on time, and like never before.
• Able to work part time hours (3:00pm - 8:00pm) - Monday to Friday (25 hours per week).
