Job summary

Queanbeyan Golf Club is seeking a self-motivated Finance Manager to oversee the full accounting function in a hands-on, part-time capacity. The role supports a small team, ensures statutory reporting and delivers accurate financial insights to inform decision making.

Responsibilities include end-to-end bookkeeping, month/quarter/year end, BAS/PAYG, audits coordination, cash flow, budgets, and asset reporting with strong Excel and cloud accounting tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, finance administration, or a similar role.
• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and cloud-based accounting software.
• High numerical accuracy and excellent time management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage end to end accounting and bookkeeping functions.
• Maintain general ledgers, journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment processing.
• Complete month end, quarter end, and year end processes.
• Prepare financial reports, cash flow statements, budgets, and forecasts for monthly Finance meetings.
• Maintain the asset register and manage asset reporting.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, superannuation, and other statutory returns.
• Coordinate annual audit requirements and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain internal filing systems, databases, and digital archives.
