Job summary

Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is seeking a motivated Counsellor for our Boronia centre. You will provide high-quality, culturally sensitive counselling to children, families, couples and individuals, drawing on child development and family dynamics.

This part-time permanent (0.6 EFT) role involves three days per week. The base salary range is $101,948 to $109,287 (pro-rata) per annum.

Qualifications

• Degree in social work, counselling or psychology.
• Postgraduate qualifications in family therapy are highly desirable.
• Previous supervised professional experience in relationship counselling and family violence.
• Demonstrated application of therapeutic modalities with individuals, couples and families and children.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, culturally sensitive counselling and therapeutic support to children, families, couples and individuals.
• Draw on knowledge of child development and family dynamics to deliver counselling to children and parents.
• Support clients experiencing parenting concerns, relationship challenges, stress and anxiety, separation and divorce and blended family issues.
