Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the Maitland Hospital Emergency Department. You will deliver advanced clinical care across multiple models of emergency services, contributing to education and staff development.

Qualifications

• Emergency nursing experience required.
• Current Nurse Practitioner registration and endorsement with AHPRA.
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and advanced practice skills.
• Ability to adapt to a busy evolving emergency environment.
• Collaborative, team-focused approach and commitment to education.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management within scope of practice.
• Work across Maitland ED's diverse models of care (Fast Track, Paediatrics, Acute Floor, Rescue, FOH).
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing team and educate staff.
• Contribute to safe, timely and person-centred emergency care.
