Job summary

NSW Health is seeking an experienced Endorsed Nurse Practitioner to join Maitland Hospital’s busy Emergency Department. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Endorsed Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department at Maitland Hospital.

Maitland Emergency Department is a busy and progressive service, leading the way in innovative models of care including Fast Track, Paediatrics, Acute Floor, Rescue and Front of House (FOH). This is an opportunity to work across a diverse emergency environment, utilise your advanced clinical skills and contribute to a strong, cohesive and supportive team. What You Will Be Doing

As a Nurse Practitioner within Maitland Emergency Department, you will provide advanced clinical practice while working collaboratively with the broader multidisciplinary team.

You will:

• Work across Maitland ED's diverse models of care, including Fast Track, Paediatrics, Acute Floor, Rescue and Front of House.
• Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management within your scope of practice.
• Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, allied health and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Support consistent application of strong clinical processes and models of care.
• Contribute to safe, timely and person-centred emergency care.
• Use your advanced clinical skills to support patient flow and positive patient outcomes.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to the broader nursing team.
• Act as a leader and educator, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of nursing staff.
• Contribute to education, clinical development and continuous improvement.
• Support a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, development and staff retention.

You will be supported by experienced nursing and medical teams, with access to education, mentoring, clinical guidance and professional development opportunities. The structured transition pathway will provide support as you develop confidence across Maitland ED's different models of care.
