Job summary

Whitehorse City Council is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to lead a vibrant kindergarten program in a long day care setting. You will inspire curiosity and love of learning through intentional teaching and responsive curriculum design.

You will plan, document and evaluate children’s learning in line with VEYLDF and NQF, assess individual development, and build strong partnerships with families and professionals. Teaching excellence plus safety is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Early Childhood or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• VIT registration as a minimum requirement.
• Current First Aid/CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates.
• National Criminal History Check and commitment to child safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead a vibrant kindergarten program within a long day care setting.
• Inspire curiosity and love of learning through intentional teaching.

• Assess individual learning and scaffold development and interests.

• Ensure compliance with Child Safe Standards and Council policies.
