Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician qualification or equivalent recognised in Australia.
• Experience in pharmacy/healthcare setting desirable.
• Proficiency with dispensing software/electronic systems.
• Strong attention to detail with medications.

• Good communication with patients, staff and healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications under supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving and organising stock.
• Operate pharmacy dispensing systems and software to process prescriptions.
• Provide customer service and explain medication usage to patients.
• Label medications with patient information, dosage and expiry dates.
• Maintain clean and organised dispensary workspace.
• Assist with receipt and filing of prescriptions from doctors.
• Support stock control procedures and regular stock checks.
• Follow health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Contribute to overall efficiency by supporting team members.
