Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support to clients living with disability, in home or community settings across Forster to Taree.

You will deliver 1:1 support, assist with medication, personal care, mobility, and transportation, with occasional sleepover shifts, in a role that builds lasting, respectful relationships and supports client choice and independence.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted NSW driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 or HLTAID011.
• Ability to drive a 10-seater van.

Responsibilities

• Support clients between Forster and Taree
• Support may be within the client's home, 1:1 in the community, or day program centres
• Medication, personal care and mobility assistance
• Transportation to appointments and activities using a company van or your personal vehicle
• Foster client choice, expression, and daily engagement with the ability to think outside of the box
• Build and maintain supportive relationships with clients and their families
• Occasional sleepover shifts required
