Job summary

University of Melbourne is seeking a Part-time Contract & Compliance Officer to support AURIN’s data licensing and contract management across a national network. You will translate data needs into clear legal instructions and help secure datasets for climate-focused urban research.

You will refine licensing documents, track contractual tasks, monitor obligations, and elevate risks for appropriate approvals while maintaining accurate records and audit trails.

Qualifications

• Hold or are completing a relevant law or business degree with experience in contract development or management.
• Demonstrate experience working in an office environment with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exhibit strong organisational and time management skills, prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Legal, Risk and Compliance Manager to prepare and refine data licensing and partnering documentation.
• Coordinate tracking, management and timely completion of routine contractual and licensing tasks within AURIN's systems and processes.
• Support contract compliance by implementing tools to monitor obligations, report progress and encourage team collaboration and participation.
