Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT in Bathurst is seeking a Home Care Worker to provide essential care for elderly clients in their own homes. This permanent part-time role runs Monday to Friday, with hourly pay and kilometre allowance to support independence and wellbeing in the local community.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged or community care preferred or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
• Flexibility to accommodate evolving needs and schedules of clients.
• A provisional or full Australian driving licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Help at home: Assist with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Transport for wellbeing: Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
• Personal Care: Support with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration.
