Job summary

Uniting is seeking a Maintenance Officer for Farmborough Grove, with maintenance support at Nareena Homes in Figtree. This part-time role involves keeping retirement living communities safe, comfortable and well-presented, with a range of routine and reactive tasks carried out through a CMMS.

You’ll work in a friendly team, respond to maintenance requests promptly, and coordinate with contractors while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a maintenance role.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of buildings and workplace health and safety legislation.
• Ability to maintain buildings and equipment per standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of contractor obligations and safe work practices.
• Knowledge/experience using a CMMS would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize work requests via CMMS.
• Carry out routine, planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Replace light globes, taps, toilets and other fixtures.
• Move furniture and equipment and coordinate access for contractors.
• Maintain external areas and perform minor repairs.
• Ensure safety inductions for visiting contractors; maintain safe workplaces.
