Job summary

Opal HealthCare Croydon Grove is seeking a practical Part Time Maintenance Officer to keep the care community safe, functional and welcoming. You’ll perform routine maintenance, small repairs, and garden upkeep, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Working Tue and Thu 07:00–15:00, you’ll join a supportive team at Croydon Grove Care Community and benefit from no weekends, a competitive hourly rate, and the opportunity to contribute to residents' comfort.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, handyman, or groundskeeping role (aged care experience a plus).
• A practical, can-do attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of WHS practices and a commitment to safety.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• A trade qualification or ‘Test and Tag’ certification is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and minor projects across our care community and gardens.
• Ensure our home meets all safety and compliance standards, including WHS regulations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, minimising disruption for our residents.
• Manage maintenance supplies and equipment within budget.
• Work as a key part of our team to create a safe and welcoming environment.
