Job summary

Explorers Wallan is seeking a Centre Chef to create fresh, nourishing meals for children in our Wallan centre. The role focuses on seasonal menus, allergy-aware options, and maintaining high kitchen hygiene.

The ideal candidate will hold a Commercial Cookery qualification, a Food Safety certificate, and a Working with Children Check, with experience cooking for kids and a passion for early education. Part-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Food Handler’s or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Valid Working with Children Check (Employee).
• Mandatory Reporting training and National Child Safety Training completed.
• Experience cooking for children with dietary needs, including allergies.

Responsibilities

• Craft fresh, seasonal, nutritious meals children love.
• Personalise dishes for allergies and intolerances with inclusive options.
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen compliant with food safety standards.
