Explorers Wallan is seeking a Centre Chef to create fresh, nourishing meals for children in our Wallan centre. The role focuses on seasonal menus, allergy-aware options, and maintaining high kitchen hygiene.

The ideal candidate will hold a Commercial Cookery qualification, a Food Safety certificate, and a Working with Children Check, with experience cooking for kids and a passion for early education. Part-time hours apply.

Formación

• Qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Food Handler’s or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Valid Working with Children Check (Employee).
• Mandatory Reporting training and National Child Safety Training completed.
• Experience cooking for children with dietary needs, including allergies.

Part-Time Opportunity

This is a part-time position working Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am – 4:00pm.

We’re Looking For a Passionate Chef Who Brings

• A qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• A Food Handler’s or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• A valid Working with Children Check (Employee).
• Mandatory Reporting training and completion of the National Child Safety Training.
• Experience preparing meals for children with diverse dietary needs, including allergies and anaphylaxis.
• Full Australian working rights (Visa/Passport).
• Bonus points if you’ve worked in a childcare setting before!
