Job summary

KAVE is launching a Newcastle store on Honeysuckle and is seeking Design Consultants to deliver premium customer experiences in a global interiors brand. We offer Part-Time or Casual roles, with a base in the Newcastle showroom.

As a Design Consultant you will support the Store Manager, build a collaborative, service-driven culture, and help drive sales while showcasing interior design expertise to residential and trade clients.

Qualifications

• Experience as a retail leader, preferably within furniture or fashion.
• Interior Design education preferred but not essential.
• Organised with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a KPI-driven, target environment.
• Strong rapport with customers.
• Passion for interior design and knowledge of design programs.

Responsibilities

Bring your passion for design and service excellence to a global interiors brand coming to Newcastle.

At Kave, we create beautiful, sustainable furniture and homewares for style-conscious homes worldwide. We’re expanding in Australia and seeking new Design Consultants to join our new Newcastle Store on Honeysuckle team and deliver the outstanding experiences our customers expect from a premium brand.

We have opportunities for both Part-Time or a Casual position, with a home base at our new Newcastle showroom

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to:

• Support the Store Manager to lead and motivate our team to success
• Help to build a collaborative and service focused culture in line with brand and company standards
• Offer solutions and retail product to both residential and trade industry clients
• Build industry relationships in the local design community through our Kave trade program and Interior Design
• Support the team and clients directly with Interior design services
• Achieve monthly sales targets, while delivering exceptional customer service
• Take ownership for maintaining our visual merchandising and global showroom standards
• Be part of a fun innovative team, delighting our clients at every turn

Other important requirements for this Sales role:

• Demonstrated experience as a retail leader, preferably within the furniture or fashion industry
• Experience and/or education in Interior Design preferred but not essential
• Organised with excellent communication skills, and a mature, grounded approach
• Ability to work within a target driven environment, with KPI achievement
• Strong ability to build rapport customers
• Proactive positive attitude with ability to engage and mentor a small team
• A passion for interior design and knowledge of some design programs
