Job summary

IRT Kirrawee Place is seeking friendly, customer‑focused Part Time Cafe Attendants to join our community‑minded team. You will prepare and serve beverages and sandwiches, deliver warm, attentive service to residents, families and visitors, and help maintain a clean, well‑presented cafe space.

Openings cover Monday to Sunday across flexible part‑time shifts. Prior coffee experience is valued, and we offer opportunities for development within Australia’s largest community‑owned care provider.

Qualifications

• Certificate II in Health Services or equivalent.
• Experience in hospitality, cafe or customer service roles.
• Confidence using a coffee machine and preparing quality beverages.
• Friendly and approachable with a passion for customer service.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Empathetic approach and genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving coffee, tea and other beverages using a coffee machine.
• Preparing and serving toasted sandwiches and fresh sandwiches.
• Providing friendly and efficient customer service to residents, families and visitors.
• Taking orders, handling payments and maintaining accurate transactions.
• Keeping the cafe clean, tidy and well-presented.
• Restocking cafe supplies and monitoring stock levels.
• Adhering to food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Building positive relationships with residents and creating a welcoming, enjoyable cafe experience.
