Job summary

BOOM Kids Clinic in Prestons, NSW is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer for a permanent part-time role. The position involves end-to-end payroll, BAS/IAS, AP/AR, and monthly close, with on-site duties and collaboration with an external accountant.

16 hours per week across 2-3 days, with potential to increase as we grow. We value accuracy, proactive issue resolution, and strong Xero proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping across payroll and AP/AR.
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Ability to work independently with a team.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing and payroll reconciliation
• Superannuation and payroll-related requirements
• Accounts payable and coordination of supplier and expense payments
• Bank and credit card reconciliations in Xero
• Accounts receivable and proactive follow-up of outstanding accounts
• Coordinating invoices and payments between Xero and our client management system
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies between systems
• BAS, IAS and payroll tax preparation and requirements
• Maintaining accurate coding and financial records
• Supporting month-end and end-of-financial-year processes
• Providing financial information and reports to management when required
• Responding to queries and information requests from our external accountant
