Job summary

Hollywood & Associates is seeking a part-time bookkeeper to fit school-friendly hours in a supportive team environment. The role offers flexible hours (Mon-Wed 7.5h or Mon-Fri 5h) with essential availability on Mondays to Wednesdays. Remuneration is negotiable, with growth potential toward full-time work as the practice expands.

The role focuses on bank reconciliations, A/P and A/R, payroll, BAS/IAS lodgement, and client liaison with opportunities for increased responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bookkeeping experience in an accounting practice preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Xero.
• Experience with MYOB and QuickBooks highly regarded.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Proactive attitude and team support mindset.
• Commitment to outstanding client service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Bank reconciliations.
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
• Payroll processing and compliance.
• Superannuation and STP reporting.
• Lodgement of BAS and IAS.
• Liaising with clients, the ATO and third parties.
• Bookkeeping reviews and client queries.
• General administrative and client service support.
• Maintaining accurate records and workpapers.
• Support Senior Bookkeeper and Accounting Team with day-to-day work.
