Job summary

Norwest Christian College is seeking an Assistant Director, Teacher Formation for the Sydney Christian Schools Teaching Hub (SCSTH), a 0.2 FTE role in 2027. The role supports trainee teachers through pastoral care, instructional coaching, trainee development and recruitment, in collaboration with the Director, member schools and tertiary providers, grounded in Christian formation.

Accredited teaching qualification and NSW registration eligibility, ten years of classroom experience, and WCC

Qualifications

• Accredited teaching qualification and NSW registration eligibility.
• Minimum of ten years’ classroom teaching experience.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple schools.
• Christian worldview integration in teaching practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning.
• Working With Children Check clearance and NSW eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care and support to trainee teachers.
• Deliver instructional coaching and trainee development.
• Manage recruitment support and onboarding for the Cadetship program.
• Collaborate with Director, member schools, mentors, and tertiary providers.
• Contribute to a learning community marked by growth and Christian discipleship.
