Job summary

YMCA Woodcrest Outside School Hours Care is seeking a capable Assistant Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis. You will assist the Coordinator with daily operations, lead programming, and guide a passionate team to deliver safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

The role emphasizes a strong community focus with training and professional development opportunities within a not-for-profit YMCA program.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children's Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in children's programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Blue Card and First Aid/CPR certificates or willingness to obtain.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and support administrative processes.
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.
