Job summary

YMCA Leichhardt Outside School Hours Care is seeking a capable Assistant Coordinator to support day-to-day operations, lead programming and guide educators in delivering safe, fun and enriching care for children.

In this permanent part-time role, you will assist the Coordinator, help staff with planning, maintain compliance and engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in children's programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes.
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.
